Phil   Looked indifferent. Good looker, full of meat. Lovely meat.

Score   8.0/10

John   Good looking. Heavy pie. Full of compact meat but spamy. Well seasoned. Jelly soaked into pastry, bit soggy pastry.

Score   8.5/10

Mark   Fresh pie, well glazed. Packed with meat and jelly. Meat needed more spice.

Score   8.0/10

Peter   Well filled but pastry a bit soft. Needed a bit more spice.

Score   8.0/10

Pork pie Club Contest the best yet with nearly 70 entries and the Bridge Inn nearly ran out of beer. A smashing day.

Best ever April weather since records began!

Pies

Richard   Did not taste fresh,jelly had disappeared. Meat was OK, bit of a supermarket taste to it. Hungry so enjoyed it!

Peter   Good looker with apple pie like latticed top. Crispy, thin  fresh pastry. Tasty meat.

Mark   Thin crispy pastry, nice jelly, well filled pie, flavoursome meat.

Phil   Fresh but lardy tasting. Tasty gravy.

Score   6.0/10

Kevin   Fresh, thin crunchy pastry.Firm and finely ground meat. Small amount of jelly.

Kevin   Lovely looking pie, golden pastry, packed with meat. Lots of pepper.

Score   9.5/10

Tim   Perfect pie.

Score   10/10

Mark   Polished appearance and slightly overcooked. Very crispy pastry, well filled but tasted of ginger. Good effort.

Peter   Polished and well done pastry just the way I like it. Well filled, peppery in parts. A superb pie.
